Rya

My name is Rya, and I’m a Peer Recovery Coach with Fresh2Death, a proud tribal member, and NAADAC professional. I work with individuals ready to rebuild—to take ownership of their recovery, sharpen their focus, and create lasting change rooted in discipline and purpose.

With lived experience navigating CPS involvement, the foster care system, and complex recovery barriers, I bring both understanding and practicality to my work. I specialize in supporting high-risk and underserved communities, including Native populations, justice-involved individuals, and those rebuilding after homelessness or addiction.

As a strong advocate for sobriety and wellness on the reservation, I combine cultural awareness with real-world recovery tools—helping clients strengthen coping skills, manage stress, and access the resources they need for stability and self-reliance.

Fresh2Death is about clean starts and steady growth: recovery that’s grounded, strong, and real.

Qaiana Fishel

Qaiana Fishel, known as Qai, was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. Growing up in an environment deeply affected by addiction, she faced personal struggles with alcohol beginning in her teenage years. At the age of 18, Qai experienced homelessness—an experience that profoundly shaped her perspective and purpose in life.

Through resilience and determination, Qai has completely transformed her life, maintaining over four years of continuous sobriety. She has learned to navigate the challenges of recovery while embracing her identity and strength as a woman. For more than a year, Qai has served as a Peer Recovery Coach, supporting individuals who are overcoming addiction and life hardships.
